3 CUBED MUSE
Stylus Architects have completed designs for a small muse house in Hammersmith on a very tight site. Due to the limited space of this site, Stylus Architects needed to be very creative and innovative with their designs.
The accommodation has been split over four storey’s and benefits from three bedrooms, kitchen and dining room, separate lounge and ancillary spaces. The ground floor has been recessed at the rear of the property to maximise the garden and a basement introduced to enlarge the floor area.
The building form is divided into three cubes with the middle cube cantilevering over the entrance, creating an external porch area. The material palate of brick, metal and glass has been kept to three elements with equal emphasis. The geometric form has been kept simple in order to blend seamlessly with the street scene.
